Robinhood reported that its cryptocurrency revenue fell by 55 percent in the third quarter of 2026, PYMNTS reported. Chief Executive Vlad Tenev discussed the financial results during an earnings call on October 27, 2026. The platform aims to move past its dependence on digital tokens by expanding into everyday financial services. [1]

The company outlined a strategy to become the primary financial home for its users, according to PYMNTS. Plans include offering traditional banking products, facilitating payments as easily as sending a text message, and introducing artificial intelligence tools to assist with consumer investing. [1]

An artificial intelligence agent, also known as agentic AI, operates independently to pursue goals and execute actions without direct human control. This technology differs from standard chatbots, which only respond to narrow user requests. [4]

Robinhood plans to use these intelligent programs to help customers research markets and execute stock trades. Banks generate income by accepting customer deposits and issuing consumer loans, a core business model Robinhood is attempting to replicate with its new services. [1][3]
